An IKEA PAX wardrobe arrives in up to a dozen boxes and takes an experienced assembler two to three hours with the right tools. Done without them, it can swallow a whole weekend and still end up wobbly, with doors that do not line up and a cam lock or two forced in backwards. Chipboard is unforgiving: force the wrong fitting once and the panel is damaged for good.
We assemble flat pack furniture across Watford for busy households, landlords furnishing rental properties and offices fitting out workspace. Most of our Watford assembly work is IKEA furniture, and we know the common ranges inside out: PAX, MALM, BILLY, KALLAX, HEMNES, BRIMNES and the rest. But flat pack is flat pack, and we build furniture from every major retailer.
Bought second-hand furniture that arrived disassembled without instructions? We handle that too. Most ranges have manuals available online, and twenty years of cam locks and dowels fill in the rest.

A built PAX wardrobe does not fit through a standard door. We always build large items in the room where they will live.

Furnishing a rental between tenancies is time critical. We regularly assemble complete property fit outs in a single day: beds, wardrobes, drawers and dining sets built, anchored and ready for check-in photos, with all packaging flattened and removed from the property. Landlords and letting agents can send us the delivery confirmation and keys arrangement, and collect a finished property.
For offices around Clarendon Road and the town centre we build desks, chairs, meeting tables and storage outside working hours where needed, so the team walks into a ready workspace.

We assemble whatever has been delivered to your home. We do not currently offer collection from the store, so arrange IKEA delivery or click and collect first, then book us for the build.
Yes, and on tall units we insist on it. Wardrobes, bookcases and chests of drawers all come with anti-tip restraints in the box, and fitting them to a suitable wall fixing is included in the assembly price. It is a safety issue, not an upsell.
We check parts against the manifest as we unpack. If something is missing or broken we will tell you straight away, build everything that can be completed, and return to finish once the retailer has sent the replacement part. IKEA and most retailers send missing fittings free of charge.
Yes. We label fittings as we take furniture apart so the rebuild at the new property is quick. Chipboard furniture survives one careful move much better than a rushed one, and some fittings should be replaced rather than reused, which we bring with us.
We flatten all cardboard and bag the fittings waste so it is ready for your recycling collection. Full removal from the property can be arranged for larger fit outs.
Most assemblies are booked within a few days, and we keep some evening and weekend slots for people who cannot be home in working hours. For end of tenancy fit outs with a fixed deadline, book as soon as you have the delivery date.
